The tasting experience is cosy and unique … you sit down to taste their flight of wines in comfy chairs in front of the fire, the winemakers join you to explain what you’re tasting.
The Top Note cellar door is located in our cottage at 558 Peters Creek Road in Kuitpo, in the southern Adelaide Hills, opposite the Kuitpo Forest car park. Parking is available in the Forest car park or in the loading bay just south of the cottage. While you're in the area, there are other cellar doors located at Coates Wines, Fox Gordon, K1 and Lazy Ballerina.
The cellar door is open from 11am-4pm on weekends and most public holidays (information about public holiday opening hours can be found on our News page or Facebook page). Our cellar door is closed in June and July every year and will be closed from December 23rd 2024 to January 3rd 2025 for our Christmas break.
In the interests of safety, the cellar door will be closed when the fire danger in the Mount Lofty Ranges district is rated Extreme or higher. You can find the current fire danger and bans on the South Australian Country Fire Service web site.
From McLaren Vale:
Take the McLaren Vale - Kangarilla road towards Kangarilla. Pass through McLaren Flat and continue on the road for about 7km before turning right on Peters Creek road. Our cellar door is 5.6km up the road on the right.
From Clarendon (via Kangarilla):
Take the Kangarilla road to Kangarilla. In Kangarilla turn right onto McLaren Flat road and continue on the road for about 3.6km before turning left on Peters Creek road. Our cellar door is 5.6km up the road on the right.
From Meadows:
Take Mawson road towards Kangarilla. After about 2km turn left onto Brookman road (B34) and continue on the road for 5km before turning right on Wickham Hill road (opposite the Kuitpo Forest ranger station). Follow the road (staying on the bitumen) and it will turn into Peters Creek road. Our cellar door is 3km up the road on the left.
